Chapter 33 · She shoved him toward the titan. Raven ran
She shoved him toward the titan.
Raven ran.
The cannons fired together.
He jumped over the first round. The second clipped his thigh and spun him through the air. Pain flashed from Seraphina's leg into his own. He hit the floor, rolled beneath Judicator's shadow, and came up against its left shin.
The machine's foot lifted above him.
"Raven!"
He drove both hands into the ankle plate.
Ash flared.
The titan's foot stopped inches from his chest.
Metal groaned under his fingers. The ash hooks punched into the seams and widened them. Steam blasted over his face. The pressure bent his wrists backward, but Raven held on.
"Come on," he growled. "Open."
Judicator's foot slammed down.
Raven dropped flat as the sole smashed the floor. The shockwave threw him into a bank of dead machinery. He heard something crack in his side.
Seraphina heard it too.
She charged the titan with a cry that shook dust from the rafters. Her sword cut through a cable bundle behind its knee. Sparks sprayed. Judicator turned toward her, and Raven saw the opening.
"Left shoulder!" he shouted.
"I know!"
"No, you don't. The plate is loose."
"You want to give orders now?"
"Yes!"
