"Destroy how?" Vesper said.

Corin, bandaged, spoke from infirmary bed. "Caretaker core. I saw it iteration one. Confluence, but deeper."

Kael looked at allies—exhausted, scarred, remembering enough.

"We go," he said.

Dorian didn't argue.

Liora braided her silver hair. "Measure thirty ends at midnight. If we fail, new loop with all memories intact—upgrade version. Serath said it."

"Motivation," Renn said weakly.

They descended harbor with academy torches and city guards who finally believed.
