Graviton Tyrant: Reborn in a Cape City

Chapter 9 · The Weight of Submission

"Drop the dampeners, or I'll flatten this entire block into a pancake," Kaelen spat. He didn't scream it. He didn't have to. The air around him was already humming, a low, predatory vibration that made the gravel on the pavement dance.

Three corporate enforcers in matte-black tactical gear didn't flinch. They stepped forward, their boots heavy, clicking a series of switches on their wrist-mounted devices. A shimmering, translucent dome of blue light snapped into place around Kaelen.

Suddenly, the pressure hit. It wasn't gravity—it was the opposite. A dampening field. The effortless flow of power in his veins slammed into a wall, recoiling back into his chest like a physical punch.

Kaelen gasped, his knees buckling for a split second. Blood sprayed from his nostrils, a hot, metallic, sudden burst.

"Cute," the lead enforcer sneered, his voice filtered through a modulator. "You're a big fish in a small pond, freak. But this is Apex territory. We own the physics here."

Kaelen looked up, a crimson smear across his lip. He grinned.
