Chapter 19 · The Glass Wall
"You are not on the guest list, Mr. Pell." The guard's hand closed on my arm before I hit the second row of chairs.
"Neither is the port authority seal on that contract," I said, and shoved the folder against his chest hard enough that he had to catch it or drop it. "Read page four before you throw me out."
He didn't read page four. He just tightened his grip and started walking me backward toward the glass doors, the ones that still had my reflection burned into them from five years ago, from the last time Callum stood at that altar and said the word mistake into a microphone loud enough for two hundred people to hear.
The mark under my collar woke up like someone had dropped a lit match on it.
"Callum." I didn't shout it. I didn't have to. Every wolf in that chapel felt me say his name the second the bond flared, and half of them turned in their seats like I'd fired a gun.
He was already turning too. Tux, boutonniere, Odessa Vane's hand resting on his sleeve like she owned it.
