Chapter 30 · Abolished
"Sole custody's gone." Cade dropped the order on my kitchen counter like it weighed nothing. "Judge abolished the supervision clause an hour ago. You want to yell at somebody, yell at him."
I didn't touch the paper. I looked at the seal instead, upside down, and my stomach dropped anyway.
"You knew this was coming." My voice came out flat, which was worse than yelling and we both knew it. "You knew and you didn't tell me before we walked out of that room."
"I found out when you did." He shrugged out of his coat like this was any other Tuesday. "Don't put that on me."
"Everything goes on you." I picked the order up finally, scanned the paragraph that mattered. Shared legal authority. No supervision required. Overnight visitation on his terms, not mine. "I signed away the leverage clause in March." His jaw was tight. "I could've fought for full physical custody today. I didn't ask for that.
