Same Line He put the pen in my hand and said, "Same line as mine," and I signed because I was done pretending a clinic and a wolf could live on separate paper. Then I locked the office myself. No cameras. No journalists asking for teeth.
"If this is a press kiss, walk out," I said.
"This is you asking." Cassian waited, which was new, which undid me more than the table ever had. I pulled his mouth down. I shoved his jacket off. I said, "Look at me while I take you," and watched surprise wreck his face. We made it to the desk because the floor was too far. I climbed him. Silk and ink and the Hart Vale letterhead crumpling under my knee. He slid inside because I put him there, slow, deep, a surrender that went both ways.
"Tell me who owns this," he whispered, shaking.
"We do." I moved. He let me. For once the Alpha asked with his body instead of a war.
