Four minutes fifty seconds.

The door stayed locked. Ella stared at the red light blinking over the handle like it was personally insulting her. Behind her Mia's fingers stayed locked on the keyboard, her whole body shaking.

"They're coming," Cain said. Blood dripped off his knuckles onto the server room floor. "We have maybe two minutes before they override the lock."

Ella's brain kicked into gear. "Then we don't wait for the deletion."

"What?"

"We go loud." She crossed to the terminal and shoved Mia's laptop aside, pulling up the network monitor. Her hands moved fast. "Every file on that red list. Every name. Every kill order. We dump it. All of it. Live."

Cain grabbed her wrist. "You'll paint a target on every wolf in the system."

"They already have targets." Ella yanked free and kept typing. "Difference is now everyone else gets to see it too. Media. Congress. Every lawyer with a conscience. You think Horne's bosses want that kind of heat?"

Mia looked up, eyes red. "My mom's name is in there."

"I know." Ella's fingers didn't stop. "That's why we're doing this."

The countdown hit four minutes.
