Sebastian felt her fall.
One moment Zaia's presence in the bond was a steady burn—pain, fear, determination, the complex braid of emotions he'd been drowning in for months. The next, it spiked so violently that he collapsed in his office, knocking over a chair, his hand clawing at his chest as his wolf howled.
"Alpha!" Marcus burst through the door. "What's—"
"Her." Sebastian couldn't breathe. "Something's wrong. The babies—"
