The Thunder Crown Contract

Chapter 25 · Her Father’s Final Order

The arena did not cheer.

Above the fractured glass floor, thousands of spectators sat in stunned silence while the stolen fragment of the Thunder Crown hovered between Nora and Kane. Blue-white lightning crawled over its edges, illuminating the blood on their clothes and the smoke rising from the ruined combat platforms.

Somewhere beyond the dome, the floating city of Asterfall groaned against its moorings. The sound rolled through the arena like a distant beast dragging chains.

Nora could still feel Kane’s power inside her hands.

She had saved him.

Now the fragment projected a single image into the air between them: a man in a dark command coat, his face older but unmistakable.

Elias Vey.

Her father.

The recording’s ghostly mouth moved again, the voice sharpened by static.

“Confirm the heir’s survival.
