Synopsis

Two years after Alpha Vane violently severed our sacred blood bond and exiled me into the frozen waste, he drags my bleeding body back into his obsidian fortress. His brutal grip holds me tight, and his fangs press directly against the raw scar on my throat. I barely survived his cruel exile, forced to live as an outcast in the ice. But when I am captured at the border, I find myself trapped in his dark castle while a lethal blizzard seals us inside. Vane is on the brink of complete madness. His feral fever is raging out of control, and my very scent is the only thing capable of soothing his wild beast. He claims I am his captive, yet his burning touch and dark obsession betray the truth. As silver poison spreads and treacherous enemies plot his downfall, I discover the devastating sacrifice he hid behind his past rejection. Now, with a ruthless rebel army surrounding the fortress, I must make a choice: leave the terrifying Alpha who shattered my soul to drown in his madness, or surrender my blood to forge an unbreakable bond.

  • Highlight · Ch. 2: “The fortress swallowed us. Black granite, torches sputtering in iron cages, the smell of wet stone and old blood. I'd walked these halls as a girl on his arm, back when I thought a bond meant someone would stay. Now I counted the turns by habit and hated myself for knowing them.”
